GREENSBORO, N.C. – Samford men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at UNC Greensboro Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, Samford falls to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in Southern Conference play. UNCG improves to 4-8 overall and 1-0 in league play.
Samford won two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
In singles, Samford's
Mohammed Ali Bellalouna defeated Alex Zuckerman, 4-6, 7-6, 10-2 on the No. 2 court. UNCG, however, earned wins at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to take the 5-2 win.
Samford will play at The Citadel on Monday, March 7. The match is set for a 1 p.m. (CT) start from Charleston, S.C.
