AUBURN, Ala. – The Samford women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at 15
th-ranked Auburn Sunday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
With the loss, Samford falls to 1-2 on the young season. Auburn improves to 2-1 with the win.
Auburn won the doubles matches at No. 1 and No. 2 to earn the first point of the match. On the No. 3 doubles court, Samford's
Olivia Jablonski and
Cameron Rogin led Angella Okutoyi and Ali Despain, 4-3, but the match was not finished once the doubles point was determined.
The Tigers then took all six singles matches for the 7-0 win.
Samford will next host Alabama State on Saturday, Feb. 4. The match is set for a 1 p.m. start from the Samford Tennis Center.
