BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford Women's Tennis Team closed out weekend play with a 6-1 victory against North Alabama on Sunday evening from the Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavilion.
The win bolsters the Bulldogs' record to 3-2 while UNA drops to 1-3.
In double's action, Alexis Lopez and Ally Hayduk knocked off Ana Josic and Kalais Going in the No. 2 flight while Olivia Jablonski and Cameron Rogin defeated Martina Paladini-Jennings and Nicole Reilly in the No. 3 spot to clinch the double's point for the Bulldogs.
In singles, Samford took all but one flight. The Bulldogs got straight-set victories from Hayduk (6-1, 6-1), Song (6-4, 6-2), Olivia Jablonski (6-2, 6-1), and Cameron Rogin (6-0, 6-1) at the No. 3-6 flights.
Lopez needed three sets to knock off Talieu (3-6, 6-0, 10-5) at the No. 1 flight, while it was Hayduk's finish at the three spot that sealed the win.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 11 when they host Georgia State at 12:00 p.m.
