CLEVELAND, Tenn. – A group of student-athletes from the Samford men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Lee University Last Chance Meet Saturday.
A total of five Bulldogs finished in the top three of their respective events, led by
Erin Long with a first-place finish in the women's javelin throw with a toss of 48.22 meters.
Dorsey Parker placed second in the women's high jump with a leap of 1.57 meters.
Amiel Dabney also finished second in the women's 100-meter hurdles at 13.94 seconds.
McKenzie Hogue came in third in the women's 1500-meter run at 4:29.99, while
Emorie Long came in third in the women's javelin throw at 42.10 meters.
Samford will next compete in the NCAA East Regional, May 25-28 in Bloomington, Ind.
