Bulldogs Set For NCAA East Regional

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Eight members of the Samford Track and Field teams will compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Regional Wednesday through Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla.
Samford's qualifying student-athletes are McKenzie Hogue (women's 1500-meter run), Brittany Bishop (women's pole vault), Erin Long (women's javelin), Titus Moore (men's 110-meter hurdles), Landon Wright (men's 400-meter hurdles), Jed Sisco (men's pole vault), Edwin Rainey (men's triple jump) and Tripp Marcus (men's javelin throw).
The meet will begin Wednesday, with Marcus competing in the men's javelin throw at 1:30 p.m. Moore will then run in the preliminaries of the men's 110-meter hurdles at 6 p.m. The men's pole vault will take place at 6:30 p.m. with Sisco representing Samford. Wright will then compete in the preliminaries of the men's 400-meter hurdles at 8:20 p.m.
On Thursday, Long will compete in the women's javelin throw at 1:30 p.m. Hogue will run in the preliminaries of the women's 1500-meter run at 6:30 p.m., and then Bishop will compete in the women's pole vault, also at 6:30 p.m.
Friday will see Rainey compete in the men's triple jump at 6 p.m. The finals for the men's 110-meter hurdles (6:15 p.m., Moore) and men's 400-meter hurdles (7:25 p.m., Wright) will also take place Friday.
Saturday's lone Samford event will be Hogue competing in the finals of the women's 1500-meter run at 5:15 p.m.
