GAME NOTES--SAMFORD VS. FISK (PDF)
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Samford women's basketball team will play its home opener for the 2024-25 season by playing host to the Fisk Bulldogs Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Pete Hanna Center.
Samford and Fisk are meeting for the first time ever in women's basketball. Samford enters the game with a record of 0-4 after opening the season with tough road games at Tennessee, Central Arkansas, Memphis and Florida State. Beginning with Sunday's game, Samford will play three of the next four games at home.

The Fisk Bulldogs enter the weekend with a record of 1-2. Prior to playing at Samford on Sunday, Fisk will play at Stillman on Saturday. Fisk opened the season with losses to Freed-Hardeman (83-52) and Mobile (62-59) and then earned a win at Oakwood (85-60).

Emily Bowman currently leads the team in both scoring (13.3 ppg.) and rebounding (11.0 rpg.), posting three double-doubles through the first four games of the season. Freshman
Claire Johnson is averaging 9.8 points per game, scoring in double figures in two of her first four collegiate games.
Annie Ramil is averaging 8.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She posted a double-double at Memphis with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
