Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford men's tennis team secured its second conference win of the season on Wednesday as the team took down the Bulldogs of The Citadel, 7-0. This victory marks five consecutive wins for Samford and is the fourth time this season collecting every available point.
 
With the win, Samford improves to 8-4 (2-0 SoCon) while The Citadel falls to 3-14 (0-2 SoCon).
 
On the No. 1 Court in doubles, Maxwell Giddens and Sandeep Mohandoss were victorious over Hayden Shoemake and Sebastian Kamieniecki, 6-1. On Court No. 2, J.B. Pickard and Santiago Arredondo earned a 7-6 win over Ted Bagwell and Teo Cariov. Completing the doubles sweep on Court No. 3, Will Gray and Darcy Nicholls won their match over Lucas Robins and Noah Van Dyke, 6-1.
 
In singles competition, Samford won every matchup to sweep the match. At No. 1 singles, Giddens won his match against Shoemake, 6-3, 6-3. On singles court No. 2, Mohandoss defeated Kamieniecki, 6-3, 6-3. On the No. 3 singles court, Nicholls defeated Cariov, 6-5, 7-4.
 
At No. 4 singles, Maksim Bogdanovich won his match against Van Dyke, 6-1, 6-2. On the No. 5 singles court, Pickard was victorious over Bagwell, 6-1, 6-0. Singles Court No. 6 was the only match going three sets, with Sebastian Harrison winning the final point of the day over Robins, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.
Samford will continue its road trip against Presbyterian on Thursday, March 7. The match is set for a 2 p.m. (CT) start from Clinton, S.C.
