BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –The Samford football team is set to play a game at Big 12 foe Baylor during the 2025 season, both schools announced Thursday.
 
The game is scheduled for Sept. 13 at McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. A kickoff time will be announced at a later date.
 
This marks the second game against a Power 4 conference team announced by Samford for next season, as the Bulldogs will play at Texas A&M on Nov. 22.
 
The game will mark the third all-time meeting between Samford and Baylor. The teams first met in 2002, with the Bears earning a 50-12 win. The programs also met in the 2005 season, with Baylor winning by a score of 48-14.
 
There are several ties between Samford and Baylor, including Samford President Dr. Beck A. Taylor, who earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor in 1992 with majors in economics and finance. He also served on the faculty at Baylor from 1997 to 2005.
