BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford football team has scheduled a game at Auburn set for the 2026 season; it was announced when the SEC released its 2026 schedules Thursday evening.
The game is scheduled for Nov. 21, 2026, at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Samford and Auburn have met 30 previous times, with several meetings coming within the last 15 years, as the Bulldogs have taken on the Tigers in 2011, 2014, 2019 and 2023.
In addition to the Auburn game, Samford also announced a two-game series with Southern Illinois. The Bulldogs will host the Salukis in the season opener in 2026 on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at Pete Hanna Stadium, and then Samford will play at SIU on Sept. 15, 2029. This will mark the first ever meeting between Samford and Southern Illinois in football.
Samford will begin a new era in 2026 as the school recently hired coaching veteran John Grass as its new head coach.
Kickoff times for the games will be announced at a later date. Fans can purchase season tickets for Samford's home games at the following link:
