Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Samford women's tennis dropped a 4-3 decision at the College of Charleston Tuesday afternoon.
 
With the loss, Samford's record fell to 7-6 on the season. College of Charleston improved its record to 5-4 with the win.
 
Samford won the doubles point to take the early 1-0 lead. At No. 1 doubles, Sara Erenda and Grace Keller defeated Francesca Salvato and Sia Cariov, 6-3. Samford also won on the No. 3 doubles court where Eleni Liakonis and Meredith Taylor defeated Mckenzie Daniel and Isabella De Luise, 7-5.
 
In singles, Samford earned wins on the No. 2 and No. 4 courts, but the Cougars won on the other four courts to take the 4-3 win. At No. 2 singles, Margaret Jaraczewski defeated Salvato, 6-0, 6-7, 6-2. On the No. 4 singles court, Liakonis defeated Sia Cariov, 6-4, 6-2.
 
Next up, Samford will play at Charleston Southern on Thursday, March 13. The match is set for an 11 a.m. (CT) start from Charleston, S.C.
