BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Samford men's tennis team won its sixth-straight match, earning a 6-1 win over UNC Greensboro on Senior Day at the Samford Tennis Complex.
 
With the win, Samford improved its record to 15-4 overall and 5-0 in Southern Conference play. UNC Greensboro fell to 8-11 overall and 2-3 in league play.
 
Samford won on the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles courts to secure the first point of the match.
 
In singles, Samford won at No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 to close out the 6-1 win. At No. 2 singles, Darcy Nicholls defeated John Gabelic, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2. On the No. 3 singles court, Hayden Menon defeated Luke Thomson, 7-5, 6-4.
 
At No. 4 singles, J.B. Pickard earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over Andrew Black. On the No. 5 singles court, Sebastian Harrison defeated Devon Moskowitz, 5-7, 6-2, 10-8. At No. 6 singles, Will Gray defeated William Elmers, 6-0, 6-4.
 
Next up, Samford will play at ETSU on Friday, April 4. The match is set for a 1 p.m. (CT) start from Johnson City, Tenn.
