BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford men's basketball team faces its 22nd test of the season as they continue Southern Conference play on the road against Furman tomorrow afternoon. The game is scheduled to tip at 4 p.m.as Samford enters the game with a 10-11 record while Furman sits at 14-7.
 

The Bulldogs and Paladins are meeting for the 43rd time in history, with Furman leading the all-time series 30-12. The two sides met earlier this season in Birmingham with Furman coming out on top 77-73. Samford took advantage of the Paladins in the paint, with Dylan Faulkner finishing with 19 points and Will Shaver adding 15. The Dogs struggled to stop Furman's freshman guard Alex Wilkins, who scored a game-high 28 points.

Samford ended a four-game skid as they defeated Chattanooga 75-64 on Saturday afternoon. Jadin Booth led the Dogs with a game-high 28 points and knocked down six three-pointers. He continues to lead the SoCon in scoring with 20.6 points per game. The combo of Booth and Faulkner combined for 46 points against the Mocs. Outside of the duo, the Bulldogs were 6-of-26 from the field against Chattanooga. Samford ranks fourth in the country as a team in turnovers per game, averaging just 8.7 turnovers per game. Faulkner is 10th in the country in free-throw attempts per game, while Booth is second in the nation in made three pointers.

Furman is 5-3 in SoCon play and is coming off an 89-66 road victory at UNC Greensboro on Friday afternoon. Head coach Bob Richey is in his ninth season at Furman, winning 69 percent of his games with the Paladins. Furman was picked to finish second in the SoCon Preseason Coaches Poll. Cooper Bowser and Tom House were all named Preseason All-Conference Players. Alex Wilkins leads the Paladins in scoring with 17.9 points per game.
