SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford senior Santiago Arredondo was named the Southern Conference Player of the Week when the league released its weekly men's tennis honors Tuesday afternoon.
 
Arredondo earned wins at No. 3 doubles to help Samford to a 4-3 win over The Citadel yesterday. In singles against UNCG last week, he earned a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win over Nissen Hector.
 
For the season, Arredondo has won five singles matches.
 
Arredondo and the Bulldogs will play Lipscomb this week at home.
