CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.-The Samford men's tennis team delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over Wofford on Thursday at the Southern Conference Tournament in Chattanooga, extending their overall record to 15-6.
The Bulldogs have now outscored the Terriers 11-0 across their two meetings this year and are riding momentum in both singles and doubles as the tournament continues.
The doubles point set the tone for the Bulldogs.Â
Sebastian Harrison and
Vitorio Sardinha clinched a pivotal 6-4 win at No. 2, while
Lukas Dvorak and
Cooper Errey continued their dominant season with a 6-4 win at No. 3, locking up the doubles point for the Bulldogs.
In singles play all three completed matches went Samford's way in straight sets.
Sandeep Mohandoss powered through a tight first set to defeat Parker Mariencheck 7-5, 6-1.
Cooper Errey, at No. 6, defeated Ian Rasheed 6-3, 6-2. The clincher came at No. 5, where
Lukas Dvorak defeated Jack Burdell 6-4, 7-6(2) to secure the deciding fourth point. Matches at positions two through four were left unfinished with Samford in control after the team win.
