BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford head softball coach Megan Curry announced she is stepping down from her position at Samford after leading the Bulldogs for two seasons.
Curry went 61-54 over two seasons as the Samford head coach. The Dogs finished second in the Southern Conference this past season and fell in the championship game of the SoCon Tournament. A member of the Samford Athletics Hall of Fame as a player, she led the team in hitting in three of her four seasons and was named the SoCon Player of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to the program's first SoCon regular season title in 2016.
Samford will begin a national search to fill the position, as Curry announced she will pursue other coaching opportunities at UAB.
