2014 SoCon INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP - DISTANCE MEDLEY RELAY TEAM
 
2014 (Senior): Indoor: Competed in four meets…posted a season best 1:53.75 in the 800 meters at the Samford Multi & Invitational…ran a personal best 4:09.91 in the mile at the Auburn Invitational on January 18…Outdoor: Competed in five meets…ran a season best 1:53.18 in the 800 meters at the Tiger Classic on April 04…posted a season best time of 3:52.37 at the Alabama vs. Mississippi Border Clash on April 11.

2013 (Junior): Indoor: Competed in four meets … earned team points in the mile run at the SoCon Championships, placing fifth (4:15.12) … set new personal bests in the mile run (4:14.18) and 3,000 meters (8:36.39) … the 3,000-meter time ranks third all-time at Samford and the mile run time ranks fifth … ran lead leg on the second-place distance medley relay at the SoCon Championships (10:06.61).  Outdoor: Competed in seven meets … placed sixth in the 800 meters at the SoCon Championships (1:52.62) … set a new PR in the 800 meters with a second-place finish at the Samford Open (1:50.84) that ranks fourth all-time at Samford… anchored the distance medley relay at the Bama Relays that set a school record with a time of 9:57.99.

2012 (Sophomore): Indoor: Competed in five meets … earned team points in the mile (6th, 4:14.44) and 800 meters (7th, 2:00.66) at the SoCon Championships … set personal bests in the 800 meters (1:54.96), mile (4:14.44) and 3,000 meters (8:44.55).  Outdoor: Competed in five meets … earned four top-ten finishes, including a seventh-place showing in the 1,500 meters at the SoCon Championships (3:53.44).

2011 (Freshman): Indoor: Competed in four meets during the season ... Won his first collegiate competition, crossing the line first in the mile run at the Blue Raider Invite ... Set his collegiate PR in the mile at the conference championship meet, earning team points with a fifth-place finish (4:15.14) ... finished fourth in the 3,000 meters at the JRF Combined meet with a new PR of 8:44.19. Outdoor: Competed in four meets ... set a meet record in the 800 meters at the Southern Invitational, winning in 1:53.17 ... set a PR the following week at the Alabama Relays, placing third (1:52.84) ... finished seventh in the 1,500 meters at the Tiger Track Classic, setting a new personal best at 3:51.67 ... earned team points for Samford in the 1,500 meters at the conference meet, finishing seventh (4:01.34).

High School: A 2009 Alabama Cross Country State Champion...runner up at the state meet in 2008...placed second at the state track and field meet in 2010 in the 800 meters and 1600 meters...received the Spartan Crest...a Bryant Jordan Scholarship winner.

Personal: Born February 3, 1992...son of John and Shari Dorsett...majoring in religion.
