High School: Helped lead his teams to a combined 30-7 record at Walker High School . . . recorded 100 knock-down blocks as a senior . . . a two-year starter at left tackle . . . named Most Valuable Lineman in 2009 and 2010 . . . elected team captain as a senior . . . played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game . . . inducted into the National Honor Society . . . nominated for the Wendy’s High School Heisman . . . was a two-year starting catcher for the baseball team.
