Junior (2022): Appeared in 13 games, starting 12 for the Southern Conference Champions… Completed 353-of-461 passes for 3,544 yards and program record-tying 36 touchdowns… Rushed 109 times for 163 yards and three scores… ranked top 10 nationally in completion percentage (76.6%/1st), completions per game (27.15/3rd), passing efficiency (165.2/8th), passing touchdowns (36/4th), passing yards (3,544/6th), points responsible for (2,234/6th) and points responsible per game (18/7th)… Threw for 300+ yards in five games and tossed a season-high four touchdowns in seven games… Recorded a season-high 454 passing yards against Mercer (11/19)… Named SoCon Offensive Player of the Year… Named second team All-American by Stats Perform and third team by the AP… Finish fourth in the Walter Payton Award voting.

Previous College: Came to Samford after two seasons at Northwest Mississippi Community College . . . started all 18 in two seasons . . . passed for 4,519 yards and 34 touchdowns . . . as a sophomore, passed for 3,093 yards and 21 touchdowns . . . was ranked the No. 1 pro style junior college quarterback in the nation by Rivals . . . started his college career at Murray State . . . redshirted for the Racers in 2018, and played in two games in 2019. 

High School: Prepped at nearby Briarwood Christian School . . . helped the Lions to a 14-1 record and a runner-up finish in the AHSAA Class 5A state championship as a senior . . . passed for 2,672  yards and 22 touchdowns . . .  led all AHSAA 5A passers in yards, completion percentage (68.8%) and total touchdowns . . . finished 32-of-43 for 393 yards, two passing TDs and a rushing score in the state semifinals against St. Clair County . . . chosen to the Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 5A All-State team as honorable mention  . . . also selected to the All-County team . . . followed his senior football season up by being named All-County and All-City in basketball after averaging 19.1 points per game and helping the Lions reach the playoffs for the first time in 12 years . . . selected to the ASWA All-State second team, All-County and All-City in baseball.
