Customer Service Commitment
The Samford University Department of Athletics exists to combine the athletic experience for our student -athletes with academic, spiritual and social experiences by providing the most successful environment on and off the playing field. We will provide opportunities and resources which develop personal empowerment, academic and career competency, social and civic responsibility and ethical and spiritual strength. We are a department that justifies the university's commitment to athletics with a positive return on that investment by putting forth a competitive, well-respected athletics program that exhibits social and civic responsibility as well as ethical and spiritual strength. We ask that, as a fan of Samford University, you would show our student-athletes the respect that they deserve on the playing field. Through this, we strive to accommodate you while in our facilities in the best possible manner. In order for us to continue to be successful, we have put forth a Customer Service Plan that addresses a number of the service goals we have defined for ourselves.

Special Needs and Disabilities
Samford University complies with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The ADA prohibits discrimination against a "qualified individual with a disability". A disability is defined as an impairment that substantially limits a major life activity such as walking, seeing, hearing, breathing, learning, working etc. The University is not required to provide a requested accommodation if it would require the removal of an essential function, a fundamental alteration of the nature of the program, require the lowering of a performance standard or would pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.
Tickets
Tickets for any athletic event can be purchased in advance by calling the Samford Athletic Ticket Office at 205-726-DOGS (3647) or online at www.samfordsports.com/tickets. When purchasing tickets online, please print the ticket and present it upon entrance into the athletic facility. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the event by visiting the ticket window located at Gate B for football, at the ticket box office in the Hanna Center for basketball, and at the left field entrance of Joe Lee Griffin Field for baseball. Ticket windows open approximately one and a half hours before game time for football and baseball, and one hour for basketball.
Refunds/Exchanges
The Samford University Department of Athletics has a no refund/no exchanges policy.
Will Call
Tickets purchased in advance may be picked up at Will Call located at Gate K for football, the ticket window in the Pete Hanna Center for basketball, or at Gate F for baseball. The Will Call window will open approximately one and a half hours before game time for football and baseball, and one hour for basketball. Please allow plenty of time to pick up your tickets.
Child Supervision/Child Tickets
Children are required to have an adult with them at all times while in the athletic facility. The ticketholder assumes all risk and danger incidental to the event, whether occurring prior to, during or after the actual event for themselves and their children upon entering the facility. Samford University and Samford Athletics are not responsible or liable for injuries or damages resulting from such causes. All children over the age of 2 are required to have a ticket to enter the athletic facility.
Rain Out Policy
All dates and times of athletic events are subject to change, and are, at times, affected by inclement weather. In the event of a rainout, the Samford Athletics Ticket Office will honor tickets for the original contest at the make-up contest.
Lost or Stolen Possessions
Samford University and Samford Athletics are not responsible or liable for lost or stolen items while on the campus or at an actual Samford-affiliated event.
Prohibited Items
Prohibited items include:
• Clothing containing vulgar language
• Umbrellas
• Firearms, weapons, or explosives
• Intoxicants or alcohol or tobacco
• Outside food or drink
• Artificial noisemakers (whistles, horns, cowbells, etc.)
• Containers/coolers
• Flags or poles
• Inappropriate or abusive signs
• Fireworks
• Pepper spray/mace
• Large bags, briefcases, or backpacks
• Absolutely no pets
• Laser pointers
• Any item deemed by management to be dangerous or inappropriate
Right to Ejection
Samford University and Samford Athletics reserves the right to remove a person from the venue for the following actions:
• Drinking
• Abusive Behavior
• Inappropriate language
• Fighting
• Entering the field of play
Fan Conduct
In order for us to provide the best athletic environment, please be respectful of our student athletes as well as those around you. Failure to do so or not follow the guidelines stated above will result in ejection from the facility.
Southern Conference Code of Spectator Conduct
SOUTHERN CONFERENCE TEAMS SHALL BE SUPPORTED WITH ENTHUSIASM AND DEDICATION, FOR STRONG SPECTATOR SUPPORT IS A VITAL PART OF THE EXPIERENCE OF COLLEGE COMPETITION. WE EXPECT GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP FROM PLAYERS AND COACHES AND THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO EXPECT THE SAME FROM SPECTATORS. THEREFORE, WE URGE SOUTHERN CONFERENCE STUDENTS, ALUMNI AND FRIENDS TO CHEER THEIR TEAMS TO VICTORY WHILE UPHOLDING THOSE IDEALS OUR COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES HAVE NURTURED DURING THE LONG HISTORY OF THE SOUTHERN CONFERENCE. OUR SPECTATORS SHOULD BE COURTEOUS AND JUDICIOUS IN CHOICE OF EXPRESSION, AND SHOULD EXPRESS GOOD MANNERS AND KINDNESS TO ALL OTHERS. THE SCOREBOARD WILL REFLECT THE QUALITY OF THE TEAMS IN COMPETITION; THE KIND OF SUPPORT GIVEN BY THE SPECTATORS WILL REVEAL THE CHARACTER OF SOUTHERN CONFERENCE FANS.
Emergency Information
In case of an emergency, please notify the nearest athletics staff member or campus public safety officer. All athletics staff members wear credentials during home events. In the event that no person is able to be contacted: 1) the University has emergency buttons located on light poles throughout the campus that connect directly to the Department of Public Safety and help will be dispatched to you, 2) dial 205-726-2020 to be directly connected to the Department of Public Safety.
