INTERNSHIP PACKETSamford University Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning
VOLUNTEER INTERNS. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. Some candidates will have the opportunity to travel with various sports during the Spring season.
Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities.
NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Candidates must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional.
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. CSCCa mentorship program will be available for candidates seeking to obtain the SCCC certification.
