Share with us one of your favorite Samford memories as a student, fan, or supporter.
I attended the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl when the '71 team won their championship. I've seen Samford men's basketball team defeat Alabama in Tuscaloosa and I've seen them defeat Auburn in Auburn. So many good Samford road trips with fraternity brothers - while in school and continuing today.
Tell us about your college experience.
A faculty and administration that cared about me. I met my wife and an abundance of friends. I was heavily involved with my fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, so lots of great memories, intramurals, Step Sing, etc.
What makes Samford so special for you?
The special relationships made with fraternity brothers and classmates have lasted through the years!
What's your favorite travel spot and why?
North Carolina mountains - they actually have four seasons.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Chex Mix!
What fad or trend do you hope comes back?
Men's hats.
What's something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
Read a newspaper.
How do you relax after a had day of work?
Attempt to watch some television. It usually only lasts a few minutes.
What inspired you to first get involved in supporting the student-athlete experience at Samford?
I was around Samford athletics as a youngster when my older brother was a trainer for the football and basketball teams in the early 70's. I have seen how far the overall athletic program has come and am proud to help support it.
What makes you and your family proud to be a Samford Bulldog Club member and Samford supporter?
I want to see the Samford athletic program reach its full potential. I try to support financially and with my attendance and encourage others to do the same.
