2013 PRESEASON ALL-SOCON TEAM
2013 FALL ACADEMIC ALL-SOCON TEAM
 
2013 (junior): Named to the Preseason All-Southern Conference Team . . . one of only 11 players in the league to receive the prestigious honor . . . member of the Fall Academic All-SoCon Team with a brilliant 3.70 grade-point average in mathematics . . . suffered an injury midway through the conference season and was forced to miss seven matches . . . earned playing time in all 11 games before her injury and was listed in the starting lineup 13 times over the course of the season . . . logged a total of 1,201 minutes of playing time, which still ranked 10th on the team despite missing seven matches . . . averaged 86 minutes per game and logged at least 90 minutes of action in 11 contests . . . accumulated a season-high 110 minutes of playing time against Georgia Southern on Sept. 27 . . . key member of the Bulldogs’ defensive back line and was only taken out of a match three times all season . . . earned her third varsity letter.
 
2012 (sophomore): Earned playing time in all 20 of the Bulldogs’ matches and started in 14 contests . . . logged a total of 1,412 minutes of playing time, which ranked sixth on the team . . . scored a key goal against College of Charleston in the opening round of the SoCon Tournament (Oct. 28) . . . played a key role in Samford’s stingy defense that only allowed 25 goals and finished the season ranked fifth in the SoCon . . . concluded the campaign with eight shot attempts, three of which proved to be on goal for a .375 shots-on-goal percentage . . . logged at least 90 minutes of playing time in nine matches, including four straight from Aug. 31 – Sept. 9 . . . tied her career-high of 110 minutes of playing time against Appalachian State (Oct. 7) . . . earned her second varsity letter.


2011 (freshman): Started all 22 matches for the Bulldogs as a true freshman and logged 1,997 minutes of playing time, which ranked third on the team . . . played a key role in Samford’s stingy defensive unit which finished the year ranked first in the SoCon in fewest goals allowed (0.86), goals-against average (0.82) and shutouts (9) . . . proved to be a key staple on the Bulldogs’ back line and logged over 100 minutes in five matches . . . after playing 45 minutes against Alabama on Aug. 21, she was never taken out of a match for the remainder of the final 20 outings of the 2011 campaign . . . tallied a career-high 110 minutes of playing time in Samford’s contests against Elon (Sept. 24) and The Citadel (Oct. 2) . . . earned her first varsity letter.

 
High School: Starred at Saint Mary’s Episcopal High School where she was a four-time member of the all-state team and was invited to the ODP Region Camp in 2007-09 . . . in 2010, she was one of only three high school students to play against the U17 Korean national team . . . while competing for the Birmingham United Club Team, she was named a team captain and helped lead her squad to a pair of Alabama State championships in 2009 and 2010 . . . named a Best of Preps in 2007 and 2008, and was a three-time member of the all-region team . . . four-year soccer letterwinner at Saint Mary’s and was also a state champion on the track team . . . earned the state championship in the 800-meter event with a time of 2:17.63 . . . member of the National Beta Club, the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and was the Pep Club President.
 
Personal: Born Oct 29, 1992 . . . parents are Jennifer and Patrick Danehy . . . her father played golf at Appalachian State . . . her uncle, Jim Ailshie, ran track at the University of Tennessee . . . her cousin, Michael Danehy, ran track at Chattanooga . . . her aunt, Maureen Hanson, played golf at the University of Memphis . . . her aunt, Chris Anderson, played tennis at the University of Memphis . . . her uncle, Eric Anderson, played tennis at Idaho State . . . her cousin, Kyle Anderson, played tennis at Linfield College . . . her cousin, Kevin Anderson, played tennis at Grand Canyon University . . . majoring in mathematics.
