High School: A three-time All-Area and All-Region selection at Shelbyville Central High School . . . named All-State, All-Midstate, All-District and Area Defensive MVP as a senior . . . had 144 tackles, 22 tackles for a loss, six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries as a senior . . . had 86 tackles, 28 for a loss, and scored two touchdowns as a junior . . . tallied 68 tackles, 16 for a loss, and two touchdowns in his sophomore season . . . also played basketball, earning two All-District honors . . .
