Tanner Schultheis is entering his second season as Samford’s director of football operations.
Schultheis is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Samford football program. Included in his duties are managing the program’s budget, overseeing purchasing and procurement of all football-related equipment, managing all aspects of team travel including rooming and meals, serving as the point of contact for student-athletes to disclose personal issues or concerns and serving as the liaison with the compliance office to ensure compliance with all SoCon and NCAA eligibility and recruiting rules and regulations.
Prior to coming to Samford, Schultheis spent two seasons as the U.S. National Team football operations manager for U.S.A Football. He served as the director of football operations and assistant recruiting coordinator at Robert Morris University from 2014 to 2017. Schultheis was a recruiting and operations assistant at the University of Akron during the spring of 2014.
Schultheis earned his bachelor’s degree in sports administration with a minor in business from Ohio University in 2013.
