High School: Named All-Area and second-team All-Region as a senior at Americus–Sumter High School . . . rated as a top five tight end by Friday Night Football . . . named second-team All-Region for offense and honorable mention for defense as a junior . . . had seven receptions for three touchdowns as a tight end, and 67 tackles and three sacks as a defensive lineman in 2009 . . . named to Rivals Top 100 Prospects . . . qualified for the National Underclassmen Combine . . . named to the National Honor Society.
