Xavier Robinson enters his first year as the director of player personnel for Samford football.
Robinson comes to Samford after spending the last two seasons as athletics director and head varsity boys basketball coach at Pell City High School. At Pell City, he improved the basketball team’s win total by 60 percent.
Prior to his time at Pell City, Robinson served as the football chief of staff and assistant coach for UAB football. He helped lead the Blazers to three bowl wins and three Conference USA titles.
Robinson was the head boys basketball coach at Prattville High School from 2004 to 2014. He also worked for the Autauga Board of Education (2006-2013) and Sidney Lanier High School (1995-2003).
Robinson earned his B.A. degree from Auburn University in Montgomery in 2003.
