Biography

Dr. Metress earned his undergraduate degree in 1985 from St. Mary[apos]s University in San Antonio, Texas, and received his Ph.D. in English from Vanderbilt University in 1991. He teaches freshman English and American literature, with a concentration in literature of the South and an emphasis on the Civil Rights movement of the United States.
