2013 (Redshirt Junior): Indoor: Competed in six meets … finished as the runner-up in the heptathlon at the SoCon Championships, placing second with 4,658 points … also earned team points with a fifth-place finish in the high jump (6-6, 1.98m) and an eighth-place finish in the long jump (21-11, 6.66m).
Outdoor: Competed in four meets … earned team points in four events at the SoCon Championships, placing third in the decathlon (5,680), fourth in the long jump (23-2.5, 7.02m), sixth in the high jump (6-7, 2.01m) and seventh in the javelin (154-2, 47.01m) … the high jump mark is a personal best and ranks eighth all-time at Samford … jumped a personal-best 23-2.5 (7.07m) in the long jump at the Samford Multi, which ranks third all-time at Samford.
2012 (Junior): Indoor: Redshirted.
Outdoor: Won the pole vault at the BSU Invitational (14-11, 4.55m).
2011 (Sophomore): Indoor: Earned a gold medal at the SoCon Championships, winning the heptathlon with a Samford and SoCon record score of 5,063 points ... Also earned team points at the conference championship with a seventh-place finish in the high jump (6-2.75, 1.90m) and eighth-place finishes in the pole vault (14-3.25, 4.35m) and long jump (22-2.5, 6.77m) ... set a new personal best in the pole vault at the Tiger Tune up, placing fifth (15-3, 4.65m) ... set a school record in the long jump at the Blue Raider Invite (22-10, 6.95m).
Outdoor: Set another school and SoCon record, winning the decathlon at the conference championship with 7,040 points ... Finished at least third in nine of the ten decathlon events, winning four ... Earned a silver medal in the javelin at the SoCon Championships, throwing 197-8 (60.25m) ... Qualified for the NCAA East Regional, ranking 32nd regionally with a school-record flight of 212-8 (62.82m) at the FSU Twilight ... Set new personal bests in the 100-meter dash (11.23), 400-meter dash (52.16), 1,500 meters (5:05.74), 100-meter hurdles (15.31), high jump (6-6.75, 2.00m), pole vault (15-5, 52.11m), long jump (22-9, 6.93m), shot put (40-2.75, 12.26m) and discus (124-11, 38.07m) ... his personal best in the long jump is also a school record.
2010 (Freshman): Was part of a very successful multi-event group as a true freshman...Indoor: Competed in all but one indoor competition...started the season at the MTSU Invitational (Feb. 5-6) taking sixth in the pole vault and seventh in the long jump...posted multiple personal bests at the Tiger Tune Up (Feb. 19-20) including a time of 7.47 in the 60-meter dash preliminaries, a height of 6-4.25 in the high jump which earned him third place, a jump of 22-3.75 in the long jump for second place and a jump of 43-1.75 in the triple jump for fourth place...at the SoCon Indoor Championships (Feb. 26-27), he earned All-SoCon honors in the heptathlon after finishing fourth and surpassing a SoCon record...he took first in the heptathlon pole vault and long jump and posted personal bests in the 60-meter hurdles, 60-meter dash and the 1000 meters...Outdoor: Competed in five outdoor competitions for the Bulldogs...placed ninth in the decathlon at the Alabama Relays (March 25-28)...posted a personal best of 15-1.00 in the pole vault at the SoCon Outdoor Championships (April 24-25), which was good for a seventh place finish and All-Freshman honors...also tied for seventh place in the long jump with a personal best of 21-3.25, earning him All-Freshman honors...broke the school record in the decathlon at the Samford Multi competition (May 4-5) with a total of 6458, posting personal bests in eight out of the ten events.
High School: A Florida State runner-up in the pole vault and third in the high jump ... named Rookie of the Year, Athlete of the Year and All-Big Bend ... also played football.
