Biography
2013 (Sophomore): Indoor: Competed in five meets … placed fifth in the heptathlon at the SoCon Championships (4,329). Outdoor: Competed in six meets … earned team points at the SoCon Championships placing fourth in the decathlon (5,608) and fifth in the javelin (157-8, 48.07m) … ran second leg in the 1,600-meter relay at the Tiger Track Classic, finishing in 3:17.92, which ranks fourth all-time at Samford.
2012 (Freshman): Indoor: Competed in five meets … earned a silver medal at the SoCon Championships, placing second in the heptathlon (4,780). Outdoor: Competed in six meets … won the decathlon at the Samford Multi (6,232).
High School: 2011 AAU All-American in the decathlon.
Personal: Born August 13, 1992 ... son of Brad and Nise Davies ... his brother, Ben, is a junior transfer on the Samford track team and his sister, Philipa, competes in track at the University of North Carolina ... majoring in business.
