A resident of Birmingham and former baseball pitcher at nearby Vestavia Hills High School, Lee Ann "Beanie" Ketcham returns to her hometown as a graduate assistant, after competing with the Colorado Silver Bullets for the past four seasons.

While with the Silver Bullets, she led the team in earned run average (2.27) and finished second in saves in 1996. She fanned 34 batters in 43.2 innings, including eight in a win over the Grand Junction (Colo.) Generals. She also recorded the team's first-ever win when she struck out 14 batters in seven innings against a team from St. Paul, Minn.

Ketcham, a native of Tallahassee, Fla., attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., where she was a four-year letterwinner in softball. She helped the Cowgirls to four Big 8 Championships, two Regional Championships and two third-place finishes in the Women's College World Series. Ketcham was named to the Academic All-Big 8 team three times as a shortstop and earned her degree in Mechanical Engineering.

She is currently enrolled in the Beeson School of Divinity at Samford, where she is working on her Master's of Theological Studies.
