Kellie Eubanks

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Former Alabama Crimson Tide standout Kellie Eubanks completes the brand new Samford University softball staff. Eubanks joins fellow former Tide players VanBrakle and Mandy Burford as the second assistant for the Samford softball program. "Kellie will be a great addition to the Bulldog family," VanBrakle said. "She brings a lot of knowledge and experience to our coaching staff and will help us in building a championship program here at Samford. We look forward to her bringing great things to the Samford softball program." Eubanks comes to Samford after spending last season as a student assistant with the Tide while finishing up her Bachelor's degree. In the Bulldog program, she will work closely with infielders and catchers while joining with the entire coaching staff to develop hitting. "I'm excited to be at Samford and have the opportunity to be a part of such a great coaching staff," Eubanks said. Eubanks was a three-year starter at shortstop for Alabama and was a part of the teams who had successful runs in the Women's College World Series in 2008 and 2009. She finished her career with a .233 batting average, with her best single-season average of .269 coming in 2008 with 42 hits and eight homeruns.
