Logan Calhoun enters her first season as assistant coach of the Samford University Softball team.
Calhoun comes to Samford after spending a season as the assistant coach at Arkansas-Monticallo. Prior to her time in Arkansas, she served as an assistant at Northwest Florida State where Calhoun helped lead the Raiders to a record-breaking, 57-11 season. She worked predominantly as a defensive/hitting coach, helping coach the team through a conference championship and state runner-up season, with the Raiders advancing to the NJCAA National Championship for the first time in school history.
Before getting into coaching, Calhoun played collegiately at Troy. In her six-year career with the Trojans, she played in 253 games while batting .263 with 174 hits, 34 doubles, three home runs, and 63 RBIs while walking 35 times and swiping 44 bases. Calhoun graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in health promotion and a Master of Business in sports management.
