Tyler Landolt

Tyler Landolt is beginning his sixth year at Samford University as the strength and conditioning coach for the softball, volleyball, men’s golf and women’s golf teams.

Landolt started his strength and conditioning career in 2011 with an internship at The University of Alabama. During his time there he assisted with the softball, women’s golf, cheerleading, women’s basketball and football teams. Landolt spent three months in 2013 as an intern at Pensacola State College working with the women’s basketball team. In 2014 he worked as an intern at the University of South Alabama where he assisted with the football team. Landolt then worked at Gardner-Webb University as a graduate assistant from 2014-2015 where he was the strength and conditioning coach for the track & field, baseball and softball teams, while also assisting with football.

Landolt earned the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2014. In 2018 he became Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. Landolt has also earned the level 1 and level 2 fitness certifications through the Titleist Performance Institute.

Landolt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human performance and exercise science from The University of Alabama in May 2014. He also earned a Masters of Arts degree in sport management from the University of Alabama in August 2016.

During his time at Samford, Landolt has been a part of six Southern Conference championship teams. The Samford softball team won the regular season and tournament championships in 2016. The Samford volleyball team won the tournament championship in 2016 and 2018, and most recently the regular season and tournament championships in 2019.
