Jose Penalver

Jose Penalver is in his first year as a graduate assistant for the Samford cross-country and track and field teams. 
 

Penalver ran cross-country and track and field at Samford from 2020 to 2023. He is the Samford University record holder in both the 800 meters and the 4x400 meter relay. He also holds the SoCon indoor record for the 800 meters.  
 
Penalver was a member of the Venezuela U18 and U20 national Track and Field team.  He is the Venezuela national record holder in the indoor 600 meters and the  U23 indoor 800 meters.
