Chuck Dunn

Chuck Dunn enters his first season on the football coaching staff at Samford.
 
Dunn comes to Samford with over 30 years of coaching experience at both the high school and college levels.
 
He has coached at the high school level at Enterprise High School (2022-2025), Ariton High School (2017-2021), Charles Henderson High School (2012, 2015-2016), Oxford High School (2011-2012) and Prattville High School (2002-2008). His collegiate coaching experience includes stints at UAB (2014-2015), Jacksonville State (2013-2014), South Alabama (2008-2011) and Troy (1994-1996, 2001).
 
He helped lead Prattville High School to a pair of state championships and an 81-5 record. He also helped lead teams at Ariton High School (2017 and 2019) and Oxford High School (2011) to region titles. The Oxford team also reached the state semifinals.
 
Dunn helped lead Jacksonville State to an appearance in the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs and his UAB team earned a bowl bid.
 
Dunn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in social work with a minor in sports recreation from Troy University in 1997.
