Sandra Pickard returned for her third stint working for Samford Athletics in May of 2016, and she currently serves as an athletics administrative coordinator.
She assists in the overall operation of the Athletics Business Office. She provides assistance to athletics staff and coaches with expense reports, purchasing cards, entering purchase requisitions and requesting cash advances.
Pickard originally came to Samford in 1994 and worked as an administrative assistant until leaving in 2002 to care for her granddaughter. She returned to Samford in 2007 and worked until she retired in 2012.
Pickard returned to Samford in May of 2016 on a part-time basis and continues in that role today.
Pickard is a native of Birmingham, graduating from Woodlawn High School. She also took legal secretary courses at Samford.
She has three grown daughters, Amy, Emily and Sara, as well as two granddaughters, Caroline and Scarlett.
