Samford: Samford has won three of its four season openers under Tillette, the only loss last year at Louisiana Monroe, 69-63 . . . Samford is 1-4 against teams from California . . . a win against LMU would bring Jimmy Tillette to within 15 victories of becoming Samford's all-time wins leader, AND set up a possible game with Alabama on Wednesday . . . Sophomore Tyson Dorsey scored 16 points and Chris Weaver and Phillip Ramelli added 11 each in Samford's exhibition win over VASDA . . . in Jimmy Tillette's four years at Samford, the Bulldogs have posted a 12-10 (.545) mark in games played on a neutral floor . . .
