RUSTON, La. -
Janet Middleton went 4-7 with an RBI, Michelle Wright went 3-7 with a home
run, and Brianne Mertens went 3-6 on Monday but it was not enough as the Bulldogs dropped a
double header to Louisiana Tech at the Lady Techster Softball Complex.

wild pitches and a passed ball with the bases loaded. Samford responded with a pair of runs in the
top of the fifth. Michelle Ashley had an RBI double and scored on a RBI-single by Middleton to
pull Samford to within 5-3. Louisiana Tech scored twice more in the bottom of the sixth for the
final margin of victory.
Game two was a pitching dual between Warner and Samford's Erin Landsburg. The Lady
Techsters manufactured a run in the first inning as Abbra Mack scored from third on a wild pitch.
Tech got an unearned run with out the benefit of a hit in the third inning. Samford had six hits and
left 10 runners on base in the nightcap but could not scratch across a run.
