* The Bulldogs swept Jacksonville State last weekend, the first conference sweep for Samford since 1999 when the Bulldogs took three from Campbell.

* Sophomore Sae Evans is on a tear for the Bulldogs in the last five games, hitting .588 (10-for-17). Evans hit four home runs in two games against UT-Martin, April 17-18, and was 5-for-8 with a double and a run scored and a slugging pct. Of .750 against JSU.

* The Bulldogs' pitching staff in the last five games has posted a 2.14 ERA and struck out 30 in 42 innings pitched. Major Allred, Shane Weeks, Matt Fields, Ty Dedmon and Dennis Thomas each have a win in the streak.

* Samford is hitting .288 in the last five games vs. 247 for the season. The Bulldogs' slugging percentage is up to .423 vs. .350 for the season.

* Samford is 10-16 on the road this season. The Bulldogs are hitting .244 away from home. Starting pitcher Matt Fields is 1-1 with a 6.08 ERA on the road this season.

* Samford is 3-1 in the state of Tennessee in 2001. The Bulldogs knocked off Vanderbilt 9-1 in Nashville, lost 8-2 to Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro, then took two from UT-Martin to start the latest winning streak last week.
