WARNER ROBINS, Ga. - Samford's senior Jennifer Chastain is tied for 20th position at the Trans America Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship, held at The Landings Golf Club in Warner Robins, Ga.

The Seymour, Indiana, native shot a nine-over-par 81 on the 5,887 yard course on Monday, nine strokes behind the tournament leader, Campbell's Sharon O'Neill. Samford's Tara Clayton is in a tie for 33rd position with a first-round 87. Sara Gossum shot 90, Rebecca Ozier a 94 and Becky Hammel a 100 to round out the Bulldogs roster.
