TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Samford women's tennis team continued its impressive play at the Roberta Allison Fall Classic on Saturday. Samford won one doubles match and six singles matches in competition today. The Bulldogs went 1-2 in doubles matches and an impressive 6-2 in singles matches.

"I am so very proud of the way our team came out and played today against some of the best competition in the country," Head Coach Terri Sisk said. "Our girls played their hearts out and showed that we can compete with some of the larger schools."

Samford's lineup includes six freshman playing in their first college matches ever. The duo of Krista Polulak and Jen Pharr defeated Williams and Rossdale of Birmingham-Southern 8-5. Pharr and Polulak each won their singles matches as well, 6-2, 6-1 and 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, respectively.

The classic finishes up tomorrow morning and afternoon in Tuscaloosa with individual titles on the line.
