The Samford athletic department will air television commercials locally this fall promoting Samford home football games. The commercials will feature head coach Bill Gray with his wife, Crystal, and their five children. Each commercial will promote Samford games as a wonderful family outing, filled with great plays and hard hits.

These commercials airing are a direct result of Samford joining the OVC. Each school receives a stipend from the league that has to be used to promote and market football. Samford is also using some corporate sponsorship dollars to help pay for the television campaign. "It has been fun putting this commercial together," said Alan Verlander, Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations. "These commercials will not only help brand our university and football team, but they will promote the great college atmosphere we try to create at each game. I am excited to see the response!"

The commercials will begin airing in late August and will be seen on local television channels around the city. Atelier Digital in Homewood produced and edited the commercial.
