Men's Tennis Performs Well In Day One Of Crimson Tide Fall Championships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Samford University men's tennis team competed today at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships, hosted by the University of Alabama. The tournament was held at the Alabama Tennis Stadium located on the campus of UA in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

In round one of the singles matches, Stuart Misner and defeated Miami (6-4, 6-4), while Johnny Griffee won against Birmingham-Southern (6-3, 6-1) and James Bryce also managed to defeat Miami (7-5, 6-2).

In round one of the doubles matches, Bryce and Griffee defeated conference rival Jacksonville State, 8-4, while Manuel Miletic and Bradley Weaver won against Pepperdine, 9-7.

The Bulldogs will continue competition tomorrow at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships, hosted by Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. All matches are set to begin at 9 a.m.
