HAMMOND, La. - Samford men's tennis came out on the winning end of a hard fought match against Southeastern Louisiana (1-3) 4-3 in Hammond, La., Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs (3-2)continued to dominate doubles winning all three matches and winning the doubles point for fifth time in five matches this year.

"This was a great win for us this afternoon," Head coach Kemper Baker said. "It feels a lot better to be on the winning side of one of these 4-3 matches." Both of Samford's losses this year have come by the score of 4-3. "Hopefully we can carry this momentum into tomorrow's match against Southern Miss."

At No. 1 doubles James Bryce and Johnny Griffee improved to 5-1 on the season winning 8-6. Stuart Misner and Joey Jensen won No. 2 doubles 8-3 and the team of Rob Nunnery and Manuel Miletic remain unbeaten on the season (6-0) at No. 3 doubles with an 8-5 victory.

In singles, Miletic improved his record at No.1 to 5-1 with a 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 victory. Johnny Griffee continued his impressive season with a 7-5, 7-5 victory at No. 5 singles, he is now 4-1 at that spot and 5-1 overall on the season. Bradley Weaver got his overall record back to .500 with a 7-5, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles, he is now 3-3 overall on the season.

The Bulldogs travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. for an 11:00 a.m. match against the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles.
