BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford baseball team will play host to the Toledo Rockets in a three-game series at Joe Lee Griffin Field this weekend. The teams will play on Friday at 6:00 p.m., on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Samford enters the series with a record of 1-10 after a 13-5, 10-inning victory at UAB Tuesday night. Toledo is currently 0-8 after falling, 7-6, in 10 innings at Birmingham-Southern Wednesday night.

Statistically, Samford is led by Matt Alling with a .462 (18-for-39) batting average. Garrett Rice is currently batting .378 (17-for-45). Stephen Artz owns a 1-3 record and a 4.94 ERA, while Parker Gargis is 0-1 with a team-leading 3.09 ERA.
