CALHOUN, Co., Ala. - The Samford women's golf team finished seventh at the JSU Chris Banister Classic. The Bulldogs finished with a two-round score of, 352-343-695. Kelly Villarreal finished the field tied for 15th after firing an 83-82-165.

Kelly Stout finished tied for 28th (84-90-174) with teammate Tricia Harlow (91-83-174). Christine Sparks finished tied for 36th (94-90-184) and Jaime Hampton placed 38th (98-88-186). Playing as an individual Ashleigh Hicks finished tied for 31st (90-90-180).

Host Jacksonville State won the event by one stroke over Oral Roberts, 631-632. Middle Tennessee finished third (637) followed by New Orleans (656), Tennessee Tech (660), Troy State (689), Samford (695) and Berry College (728).

The Bulldogs will host the Samford Intercollegiate on March 22-23 at the Timberline Golf Course in Calera, Ala.
