COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Samford men's tennis team won its second straight Ohio Valley Conference Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Eastern Kentucky. The Bulldogs (9-7, 4-2 OVC) won two-of-three doubles matches and five-of-six singles matches.

"This was a nice weekend for us," Head coach Kemper Baker said. "We are 4-2 in the conference right now and we need to come back next week and practice hard so we can have a good seed for the conference tournament."

On court three, the team of Stuart Misner and Rob Nunnery won their doubles match 8-4 , and on court two, Bradley Weaver and Joey Jensen wrapped up the doubles point for the Bulldogs with a 8-6 victory.

Samford won their fourth OVC match of the year with solid singles play. Manuel Miletic won on court one in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. On court three, Misner lost only three games in a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Rob Nunnery had no troubles on court four winning 6-4, 6-1. While on court five, Johnny Griffee won 6-4, 7-5 and on court six Weaver won 5-7, 6-2, 10-4.
