The Samford softball team will host a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series with Southeast Missouri State this weekend, and the Bulldog baseball team will play a three-game OVC series at Tennessee Tech.
The Samford softball team comes into the weekend with a record of 24-31 overall and 14-9 in the OVC, after splitting a mid-week doubleheader with Charleston Southern on Wednesday. SEMO is currently 15-31 overall and 10-11 in conference play, and is coming off a 2-1 victory at Eastern Illinois on Wednesday.
The Bulldog baseball team enters the contest with a record of 15-28 overall and 7-11 in conference play. The Bulldogs lost to Jacksonville State, 9-4, in a non-conference game last week. Samford has won seven conference games in a row. Tennessee Tech is currently 14-23 overall and 10-9 in the OVC. The Golden Eagles are coming off a 10-8 win over East Tennessee State on Wednesday.
Four softball seniors will be playing their final home games of the regular season on Sunday. Erin Landsburg, Bridgett Smith, Sarah Godfrey and Abi Casillo will each be honored prior to Sunday's season finale.
Both series will consist of a doubleheader on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m., and a single game on Sunday, also at 1:00 p.m.
