BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford University women's golf team will travel to the Ann Rhodes/ Alabama Intercollegiate on Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 20-21. The University of Alabama is the hosting school, while the tournament will take place at the Ol' Colony Country Club in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

"This season opener is a great opportunity for our team," said head coach Ian Thompson. "This event is one of the hottest on our season schedule. I am pleased with our team practices and I feel we will do well at this event. We have a quality program and being able to compete at this level of competition is truly a great thing."

Last season, the Bulldogs finished seventh at the OVC Championships (1051).
