BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford women's tennis team will compete at the BSC Fall Classic, Friday and Saturday, Oct.1-2 at the Birmingham-Southern Tennis Complex in Birmingham, Ala. On Friday, the Bulldogs will compete against Birmingham-Southern at 3 p.m., and will battle Jacksonville State at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
RECAPPING LAST WEEK...Last week, the women's tennis team competed at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, hosted by the University of Alabama at the UA Tennis Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala. In day one of competition, freshman Katie McMiller and sophomore Emily White defeated Texas Tech, 8-5, in a second-round doubles match and Bethany Benson won a singles match against Birmingham-Southern.
Other top performances for the Bulldogs were in a doubles match Amber Dyar and Benson lost to Auburn in a tie breaker (8-7; 9-7). In singles, Christie Baker played hard in a loss to Auburn (6-4, 7-5) and McMiller lost to Texas Tech (5-7, 6-1, 6-4)
